James Apicella is a residential solar consultant with Sunrun. His role at Sunrun requires him to self-generate sales leads and conduct in-home presentations of the company’s products and services to potential customers while evaluating their knowledge and needs. As a residential solar consultant, James Apicella ensures that he makes genuine connections with leads or potential customers in order to present solar as a viable alternative or supplemental energy source.

Skilled in sales, Mr. Apicella exceeded his first 60-day sales goal in just 28 days. He was also instrumental in introducing solar electricity to a small town in New Hampshire with little to no solar power. In addition, he has helped mentor junior representatives within the company with sales and product training.

Aside from working at Sunrun, Apicella has volunteered with Toys for Tots since 1999, when he was in the Marine Corps Reserves. While a Marine, he often gathered toys and attended events in uniform to promote the initiative. Since leaving the Marine Corps, he has continued his work as a volunteer by serving as a community collection coordinator in his area.
